Afternoon:  Hotel R&R
Evening: Village Strolling, Shopping & Spring Dining deals devouring

Morning

As you arrive at the Vancouver International Airport, make your way to the Fairmont Chateau Whistler by taking the scenic Sea to Sky Highway. This picturesque drive takes you along the coast, past towering mountains and through charming coastal towns. Keep your camera available as you won’t want to miss the stunning views along the way, including the breathtaking Shannon Falls and the majestic Stawamus Chief. Upon arrival at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, check-in and take a moment to appreciate the grandeur of the hotel and the picturesque views of Whistler and Blackcomb mountains.

Afternoon

After a long journey, it’s time to indulge in some well-deserved rest and relaxation. Take advantage of the hotel’s world-class Health Club amenities, including the pool, hot tub, and cedar sauna with a cocktail in hand while enjoying the stunning mountain views.

Evening

If you still have some energy left, take a leisurely stroll through Whistler Village. This is the perfect time of the year to go for a stroll, but make sure you pack both your warm layers and your sunglasses, as you never quite know what Mother Nature will throw your way in the mountains.

Also, Whistler is a shopper’s paradise. You could spend your evening browsing the shops in the Village and the hotel itself for fine artwork and fashion, jewelry, the latest outdoor sportswear, equipment, gifts, and luxury items. Discover the variety of Whistler shopping outlets conveniently located on the concourse level at Fairmont Chateau Whistler.

And last but not least, Whistler is famous for its vibrant culinary scene. Whistler’s spring dining deals are an opportunity to enjoy some of the finest cuisines, from haute cuisine to hidden gems and exotic flavors. Day Two

Morning: Breakfast at The Wildflower & Train Wreck Hike
Afternoon: Biking/ Golfing & Clubhouse Après
Evening: Massage & Mallard Lounge

Morning

Nourish yourself for a day on the slopes with the Wildflower’s breakfast, a feast of delicious breakfast options including smoothie bowls, cold-press juices, coffee, waffles, and pancakes. Enjoy a casual hike along the glacier-fed Cheakamus River to the remains of a train derailment from the 1950’s. At the wreck there are 5 train cars scattered along the forest floor with massive Coastal evergreen trees that have grown around them. Some local artists have decorated the cars with amazing graffiti work. Great for a family hike. Moderate fitness level required. Please wear appropriate foot wear. We recommend you bring water with you.

Explore on your own, or join a Whistler Experience Guide outing.

Afternoon

With longer days, you can tire your legs with a dual sport day. Rent an e-biking and head to the Valley Trail. The trail takes you on a scenic journey through the heart of the town and along the most stunning lakes, with plenty of opportunities to stop and take in beautiful views along the way. With e-bikes, you can cover more ground, and enjoy a longer ride without getting too tired. One highlight of the route is Creekside Village, where you can find great food and drinks to refuel. And if you are up for more adventure, Function Junction offers breweries and bakeries for you to explore. As you make your way around Alta Lake, be sure to check out Rainbow Park, which was one of Whistler’s first tourism initiatives.

If you feel you’ve worked you lower body to the max, take a swing at British Columbia’s number 1 rated golf destination. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club is the perfect spot to enjoy an unparalleled 18-hole mountain golf experience. With a fun and challenging course, there’s something for every level.

When you’re finished on the green, head to The Clubhouse. There are picturesque views of the course to enjoy refreshments or a casual lunch on the sunny patio, perfect for golf après.

Evening

After a day of playing hard, take a few laps in our 60-foot outdoor heated pool that will help release any tension built up on the slopes or go for a soak in the hotel’s four whirlpools (one indoors and three outdoors). May we suggest combining it with an après massage at Vida Spa. Located in the hotel, this luxurious spa offers a range of treatments to rejuvenate and refresh your body and mind and why not top it off with a sip of your favourite cocktail and some live music at the Mallard Lounge.

Afternoon

Another way to see Whistler’s fall colours is from a birds-eye-view. Experience an epic zipline adventure through BC’s stunning coastal mountains. Located just north of Whistler on Cougar Mountain, Superfly Ziplines is your one-stop-shop for the ultimate Whistler adventure day. Explore old-growth forests and soar high above the treetops for an unrivaled view of Whistler’s surrounding mountains. With the longest of the four zip lines spanning well over one kilometer in length and sitting 200 meters high, ‘thrilling’ may be a bit of an understatement. Please contact our knowledgeable Concierge team if you need assistance with reservations.

Evening

For an enchanting artistic experience, don’t miss Vallea Lumina, a multimedia show set in the forest where a story is told using images, light, and sound projected onto the trees. It takes about an hour to stroll the one-kilometer path also at the base of Cougar Mountain, and the tale unravels as you go.

Day Five

Morning: Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre
Afternoon: Bear Tour
Evening: Dinner at The Wildflower

Morning

On your last day in Whistler, take a guided cultural outing with the Whistler Experience Guides at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre. Learn about the history and culture of the First Nations people who have lived in this area for thousands of years. The center offers interactive exhibits and traditional storytelling sessions, providing a unique opportunity to connect with the local community.

Afternoon

With the snow quickly melting from mountain slopes Whistler’s bears start to emerge from their winter dens. We recommend booking a Bear Viewing Tour for the safest, more reliable way to see a bear and the best knowledge to know about our local bears.

Most sightings happen on far-way ski slopes from gondolas, or on distant fairways during a round at the Fairmont Chateau Golf Club. Our bears range freely so you may also encounter them along a forest trail or even the paved valley trail. For both your safety and the comfort and happiness of the bears we recommend the following if you encounter a bear:

  • Stay calm – don’t scream or run
  • If the bear sees you (you can see its face), talk in a calm, regular voice
  • If all you see is its rump or side, retreat slowly and quietly the way you came especially, if you are close < 10m
  • Back away from the bear the way you came
  • Never approach or try to sneak around a bear

Please contact our knowledgeable Concierge team if you need assistance with bear tour reservations. For more information about bears read the inside scoop on our local bears and some incredibly helpful tips for being bear safe in Whistler.

Evening

In the evening, head to The Wildflower showcasing locally inspired dishes and innovative classics in a family-friendly restaurant setting. Sip and savour from its extensive wine list and signature cocktails.
