Skiing in Whistler Blackcomb Today: Live Report
As you prepare for a Whistler skiing getaway, snow conditions are often top of mind. To help you prepare for your vacation we created this guide to keep you as tuned in as a Whistler local on the real-time snow conditions here in Whistler.
Seeing (& Skiing) is Believing
Whistler is fortunate to have the benefit of vast terrain at elevation. Because it can be hard to see what is really happening up top on the slopes, we are bringing our boots on the snow, capturing weekly mountain conditions. See what you have been missing below.
Whistler Blackcomb Snow Report and Conditions
Base Depth: 239 cm
7 Day Snowfall: 31 cm
Current Season: 745 cm
It has been a productive week of accumulation at Whistler Blackcomb, with 10 cm of fresh snow falling in the last 24 hours and a total of 26 cm over the past two days. This steady intake has bolstered our alpine base to a healthy 239 cm. Today, the mountain is seeing a mix of sun and cloud with isolated flurries as a Pacific system begins to exit the region, leaving behind moderate ridgetop winds.
Alpine temperatures are currently holding between -7°C and -9°C, ensuring excellent snow preservation across both Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. Looking ahead, we expect a period of clearing through Friday and Saturday with milder temperatures and occasional sunny breaks.
By Sunday, we are tracking a return to more unsettled weather, with light flurries forecast to bring approximately 5 cm of new accumulation. This active pattern is expected to continue into Monday, with an additional 8 cm of snow anticipated to start the week, maintaining those classic March powder conditions for the slopes.

Our Recommended Mountain Areas
With 26 cm of fresh snow over the last 48 hours and a solid base of 239 cm, the mountains are in prime condition for the final week of March. The recent “top-ups” have kept the terrain in fantastic shape for both carving and exploring the high alpine.
-
High-Alpine & Powder Pockets: Start your day in the high alpine to take advantage of the fresh accumulation and cooler temperatures. We recommend heading to the 7th Heaven, Glacier, Harmony, and Symphony chairs. These areas are currently offering a beautiful mix of soft, responsive groomers and lingering powder pockets on the side of the runs.
-
Spring Transitions: As the sun warms the slopes into the afternoon, the lower elevations are transitioning into classic, playful spring snow. This is the perfect time to enjoy some slushy turns on the lower-mountain cruisers before heading in for après.
-
Safety First: March remains a dynamic month in the Coast Mountains. Please remain strictly within marked ski area boundaries, obey all closure signage, and always ski or ride with a partner.
Ski-In, Ski-Out Report
Last updated on March 25, 2026.
We are pleased to report that you can still ski-out to the base of Blackcomb (though expect variable conditions), and we recommend mindful skiing as you reach the lower elevations. If you have enjoyed a full day on the peaks and would prefer to save your legs for après-ski at The Mallard Lounge, the gondola remains a scenic and relaxing option for your return.
Regardless of your path down, our Ski Valet team will be waiting at the base with hot chocolate to welcome you back to the Chateau!
The Art of Après: From Slopes to Flutes
The transition from the piste to the patio is a cherished tradition at the Chateau.
Cozy up at The Mallard Lounge by the iconic fire for the heartbeat of the Chateau’s social scene. Whether you are diving into our famous, massive shared nachos, enjoying a signature burger, or sipping a handcrafted cocktail, the atmosphere is unrivaled.
Every Friday and Saturday from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM, the Mallard Lounge Terrace transforms into a vibrant snow beach. Join us for Veuve in the Snow to embrace the art de vivre with golden flutes and elevated bites. It is truly après at its most elevated.
April and May at Whistler Blackcomb
As we approach the end of March, the season is far from over. We are just entering one of the most celebrated chapters of the year. Whistler Blackcomb is home to one of the longest ski seasons in North America, and the current conditions are setting the stage for an incredible spring.
With a deep alpine base and consistent March “top-ups,” the transition into April and May offers a unique mountain experience. While the winter crowds begin to thin, the energy in the Village only grows.
-
Whistler Mountain: Closing Day is April 19, 2026.
-
Blackcomb Mountain: Staying open for late-season turns until May 18, 2026.
Why April and May are a Local Secret
Spring skiing is a masterclass in variety. Start your mornings in the high alpine, where the healthy snowpack keeps the soft groomers and powder pockets in peak form. As the day warms, the lower slopes transform into playful slush and “butter” snow, perfect for relaxed laps with friends.
The Golden Hour: Slopeside Après0
Of course, spring at the Chateau isn’t just about the vertical—it’s about the sunshine. Longer daylight hours mean more time for the best part of the day: après.
