Life in Bear Country: Grizzlies of the Squamish-Elaho Watersheds

As part of AWARE’s Protect Priority Habitats, Preserve Our Future campaign, join independent wildlife researcher Michael Allen for an insightful presentation on the grizzly bears of the Sea to Sky region. Drawing on over 30 years of local bear research—including 12 years tracking grizzlies in the Squamish and Elaho watersheds using remote camera networks—Michael will share critical insights into their behavior, survival, and habitat needs. Discover findings from his latest fieldwork, including how recent drought conditions are impacting local populations, and learn what it takes to protect these iconic predators in a changing landscape.
