Fairmonts Award Winning Golf Resorts Welcome Guests Well Into Autumn
Banff, AB – The best way to make the most of the season at Fairmont Hotels’ golf resorts in Canada’s Western Mountain Region and enjoy these championship courses – Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge Golf Club, Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club, and Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course – is to ‘play through’ into the autumn months. Fall golf packages have just been announced, as have the details of an amateur golf tournament that has a storied past.
Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge (JPL) will welcome golfers September 8-10, 2019 for its second annual amateur golf tournament, Jasper Fall Classic. However, this isn’t any golf tournament. It’s the reincarnation of the legendary Totem Pole Golf Tournament that was played at JPL each September through the 1930’s and 40’s, and was even won by Bing Crosby in 1947.
“Being ranked one of the best golf courses in Canada isn’t the only reason to play at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge,” stated Tahlon Sweenie, JPL Director of Golf. “There’s such a rich history to these greens and each hole tells a story. Participation in the Jasper Fall Classic includes two nights accommodation at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, daily breakfast, two rounds of tournament golf (cart, club storage and range balls included), private BBQ dinner, prizes, gratuities, and more. Rates start from CAD $649 per person for two nights, based on double occupancy. Tournament-only rates start from CAD $389 per person.
Down the road at Banff, another celebration is being marked – the 30thanniversary of the Tunnel Mountain Course at Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course. Golfers can enjoy a round for CAD $30, capped with signature 30thanniversary ale and BBQ feast at Stanley’s Smokehouse. In order to not ‘shank’ a Banff getaway, guests are invited to experience one of the golfer offers available throughout the season.
Meanwhile west of the Rockies, unlimited golf is available at Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club. Rates for the Whistler Golf Resort Vacation start from CAD $229 per person, per night, based on double occupancy and include complimentary club rentals, complimentary cart, unlimited access to the Practice facility, and complimentary golf club storage, in additional to unlimited golf.
