Fairmont Golf Leadership Appointed

WHISTLER, BC – Today Fairmont Chateau Whistler announced the appointments in two key leadership positions at Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club. Padraic O’Rourke has been promoted to Director of Golf, effective March 26, 2021 and Mike Nedoszytko has been appointed Golf Operations Manager, effective April 9, 2021.

O’Rourke’s professional golf career began in 2002 as Assistant Golf Professional for the Ballybunion Golf Club in Ireland. In 2011 he moved to the United States, continuing his career at the Pine Valley Golf Club in New Jersey. With his growing knowledge and experience, O’Rourke was offered the position of Head Golf Professional at The Canouan Resort, St.Vincent and the Grenadines in 2012.
O’Rourke joined Fairmont Chateau Whistler in 2013 as Head Golf Professional, and was later appointed to Assistant Director of Golf in 2019. In 2020, O’Rourke was named Golf Professional of the Year title for British Columbia, and currently sits on the Board of the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) of British Columbia. O’Rourke holds his Professional Golfers Association Degree from the De Vere Belfry in the United Kingdom.

Nedoszytko began his career in Sports and Recreation in 2015 as Head Coach for Ontario’s West Hill Gold Hawks AA hockey team. His love of golf lead him to Whistler in 2018, as Associate Golf Professional at the Nicklaus North Golf Course. Nedoszytko joined Fairmont Chateau Whistler in 2019 as Assistant Golf Professional. Nedoszytko holds a Bachelor of Commerce – Business Management in Global Management Studies, with a minor in Entrepreneurship & Innovation Strategy from Ryerson University.

The Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club is accepting reservations and is scheduled to reopen in May. Further details on the golf course may be found online here.
