Adrenaline-Fueled Adventures

Whistler is a place to feel alive. From soaring over mountains to floating on  rapids, these heart-thumping adventures are perfect for adventure seekers.

ATV/QUAD & SIDE-BY-SIDE TOURS

Enjoy some off road areas of the Whistler Valley. Several companies are available & no experience is necessary. Appropriate gear is provided so you can have fun in all kinds of weather.

BIKE RENTALS

Rent a bike to explore the local area, take a crosscountry mountain bike lesson and discover the excitement of singletrack riding. Biking maps and discount coupons are available at the Concierge Desk.

AERIAL OBSTACLE COURSE

Play like a kid again on this incredibly unique aerial tree course with over 70 elements ranging from mild to wild. The course is a natural team building activity and the perfect adventure to share with family, friends and strangers alike.

SUMMER BOBSLEDDING

Bring the family of one of Whistler’s most unique summer activities. Your team will ride in a bobsleigh equipped with wheels, driven by a trained pilot, through twists and turns with speeds of up to 90 km/hr! Available starting in July.

BUNGEE JUMPING

Are you ready? A giant 160 ft leap of faith from the bungee bridge over the spectacular scenery of the Cheakamus River with Whistler Bungee Inc. Experience bungee jumping in the beautiful wilderness of the Whistler valley, nestled between old-growth forests and rugged basalt column cliffs. Tandem is an option!

ZIP LINE TOURS

Two companies offer this popular and thrilling adventure, with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain and valley floor. Whistler boasts some of the biggest, longest and fastest lines in North America!

Adventures With Altitude

HELICOPTER SIGHTSEEING

See the birds-eye view of Whistler Valley and the surrounding area from the comfort of a helicopter. A variety of tours are available ranging from 15 to 45 minutes.

GONDOLA SIGHTSEEING

Departing from the back door of Fairmont Chateau Whistler, ride the various gondolas including the world-record-breaking PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola. Dining options are available on both mountains.

ICE CAVES BY HELICOPTER

Explore nature’s natural wonders, sculptures, frozen flowing slides and aqua-blue labyrinth chambers. Just a short helicopter ride away on the Pemberton Ice Cap. Includes lunch.

FLOATPLANE SIGHTSEEING

Taking off and landing on Green Lake, just north of the village, floatplane tours offer a unique perspective of the village, ski slopes, surrounding mountains and the plethora of beautiful glaciers that can only be seen from the aircraft.

BEAR VIEWING

Guided driving tours of the surrounding areas in search of bears. These companies offer educational and personalized tours. Private tours available.

FAMILY ADVENTURE ZONE

Head to the Family Adventure Zone at the base of Blackcomb Mountain (Upper Village) for a variety of activities guaranteed to get everyone excited. Tickets for sale on site.

HIKING WITH/WITHOUT A GUIDE

Whistler boasts endless hiking based on your ability and interest level. Explore mountains, forests, wetlands, alpine meadows, and much more with a guide to explain the flora, fauna, and geology of our area. Guides can be arranged. Advanced reservations for day passes are required for some BC Parks trails.

HORSEBACK RIDING

See the landscape around Whistler from high in the saddle on a memorable horseback riding tour. Enjoy the mountain air and incredible scenery with your family and new equine friends. Tours are available for guests of all riding abilities. Guests are responsible for their own transportation to and from stables in Pemberton.

SKATEBOARD EVOLVE CAMPS

Campers receive personalized instruction and work side-by-side with qualified coaches on their skateboarding skills! Ages 6-15 beginner to intermediate skill levels.

Arts & Culture

Many are drawn to Whistler for mountainous adventure, but you may not know that we have a thriving arts and culture scene. Explore a deeper connection to Whistler and get inspired with a visit to these venues.

AUDAIN ART MUSEUM

A visual journey through the history of art from coastal British Columbia. The permanent collection features one of the world’s finest collections of Northwest Coast First Nations masks as well as a large collection of works by Emily Carr. This activity is ideal for all ages.

SQUAMISH LIL’WAT CULTURAL CENTRE

An interactive cultural journey through Whistler’s Aboriginal art, history, music, and dance. Enjoy guided or self-guided tours through the museum, exhibits, and galleries. Conveniently located just across the street from the hotel, a visit to the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre is easy and a perfect rainy day activity.

WHISTLER MUSEUM

Offering stories from fun-loving pioneers, the creation of Whistler Blackcomb and the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, Whistler Museum has plenty of interactive exhibits. There’s even an opportunity to take your photograph with a real Olympic torch.

Court and Course Sports

GOLF

A golf experience featuring snow capped mountains and breathtaking scenery. Whistler’s four golf destinations are considered some of the best golf courses in the world and are designed by the most respectable names in golf including Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Robert Trent Jones Jr. and Robert Cupp.

GOLF DRIVING RANGE

Three ranges in the Whistler area including the Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Course. We can provide transportation to our facility.

TENNIS/PICKLEBALL

The hotel offers two complimentary outdoor courts and equipment. Courts can be reserved at the Heath Club. Indoor courts and pickleball and lessons are available at the Whistler Racquet Club.

FRISBEE GOLF

Whistler has a great mountain-style frisbee golf course. Similar to regular golf, you enjoy a great walk in the woods. Rental discs are not available. Disc for purchase required.

Water Adventures

CANOE/KAYAK

Self-guided & fully-guided options to explore Alta Lake or paddling down the River of Golden Dreams by kayak & canoe. The River of Golden Dreams is best to be done guided as the river is flat but swift flowing and can be challenging for beginner paddlers.

WHISTLER JET BOATING

The Green River Thriller is back and great family fun for all! Jet Boating in Pemberton departing from the Sunstone Golf Course daily. Navigate braided channels, tight canyons, and exciting rapids in the Glacier waterways of the Coastal Mountains. Three departures daily. Self-drive to Pemberton.

WHITEWATER RAFTING

The Green River is available in the local area allowing you to ride out your own adventure this summer! Whitewater classes range from 2 – 3. Suitable for children 10 and older.

FISHING

Experienced guides take you to some of the best fishing locations in the area and teach you the techniques of fly fishing. Licenses are not included and should be arranged prior to your tour here. Advance reservations required.

Weather-Proof

Sometimes mother nature doesn’t always get the memo for endless bluebirds and pow days. If the weather is looking less than inviting, these weatherproof activities are always a winner.

AXE THROWING

It’s like darts – but way more Canadian. Learn to throw an axe in a safe and contained environment and then have a friendly competition with friends and family.

ESCAPE ROOM

Put your teamwork to the test. This challenging indoor adventure offers four themed escape rooms for you and your family to try to escape from in under 45 minutes. It’s harder than you think!

MEADOW PARK SPORTS CENTRE

Located 10 minutes north on Highway 99, this indoor sports facility features an indoor swimming pool, toddler wading pool, and indoor ice-skating rink.

TENNIS/ PICKLEBALL

Get ready for the spring with some indoor practice. Indoor courts and lessons are available at the Whistler Racquet Club, located in Whistler Village.

DINING TOURS

Experience the best of Whistler restaurants in one night! Enjoy a guided walking tour and experience a fantastic multicourse, progressive lunch, dinner, or dessert. Each delicious course is provided by one of the different restaurants in Whistler.

ROCK CLIMBING (INDOOR)

Offering over 4,000 ft2 of indoor rock, including cracks, dihedrals, and overhangs, Whistler’s only indoor climbing centre is a great activity. No experience is necessary; guided and supervised climbing sessions are available. All ages are welcome.

CLIMB & DINE (KIDS)

Located at The Core in the Whistler Conference Centre. Children (ages 4-14) can enjoy either a 2 or 3-hour guided rock climbing session including a kid-style dinner.

SHOPPING

Whistler is a shopper’s paradise. Spend some time browsing the village for fine artwork and fashion, jewelry, the latest outdoor sportswear and equipment, and luxury items.

BABYSITTING SERVICES

Private babysitting is available with fully qualified nannies over the age of 20 with current First-Aid and CPR certification.

PET SITTING SERVICES

Private sitting and group walks available with qualified walkers and local dog lovers.
