ALL Safe – Your Safety in Mind
Safety information and operational updates for your upcoming visit to Fairmont Chateau Whistler.
Our first priority is the safety and well-being of our guests and employees. Fairmont Chateau Whistler is closely following the advice from BC’s Ministry of Health. Following the recent updates from the Provincial Health Organization to Phase 3 of BC’s Restart Plan, recreational travel across BC is now permitted. As of August 9, 2021 fully vaccinated citizens and permanent residents of the United States can enter Canada for non-essential travel with negative Covid-19 test within 72 hours before arrival into Canada. Entry to Canada will continue to be prohibited for travellers who are not fully vaccinated. To learn more about British Columbia’s travel restrictions please visit www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/covid-19/travel/current.
Travelling from the USA?
The Canadian Government recently announced the easing of border restrictions. Please ensure you have read, understood and complied with all Canadian requirements for American citizens and permanent residents travelling into Canada. This includes ArriveCAN’s proof of vaccination documents which are required before crossing the border into Canada and a negative Covid-19 test within 72 hours before arrival into Canada.
Travellers re-entering the US will need to be tested no more than 72 hours before travelling by air into the United States and show a negative result to the airline before boarding the flight.
For over 30 years we’ve provided shelter and have been a home-away-from-home for guests and employees alike, and as long as we feel we can do that safely we will continue to do so. Should you have any questions or need further information, please contact the hotel directly at 604-938-8000 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
