Uncover our unique history at the Whistler Museum, or explore the works of Emily Carr and more at the captivating Audain Art Museum.
Whistler Experience Guide Dog
Alta is a black Labrador, and arguably the most popular team member of Fairmont Chateau Whistler! Her days are spent exploring scenic trails with our Whistler Experience Guides and adventure-seeking guests. During her down time Alta can be found roaming The Chateau, greeting guests and colleagues alike. Alta was trained by Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind, and is proudly owned by Executive Chef Isabel Chung.
Get away from it all as you trek along coastal rainforest to unique viewpoints of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains on a guided snowshoe to Lost Lake, Rainbow Falls or the trainwreck. Or, for a unique Canadian experience, glide along skating paths at Whistler Olympic Plaza beneath the twinkle of lights and glowing Olympic rings, right in Whistler Village. It doesn’t get more Canadian than that!
Experience the distilling process and discover how they make craft gin on a Gin and Vodka Tasting Tour at Montis Distillery, or sip on a flight of locally-crafted beer during a tour of the Whistler Brewery. Must be 19+ years of age.
Forged Axe Throwing
Forged Axe Throwing is Whistler’s only indoor axe throwing venue. Whether you are a first timer looking to try axe throwing or an experienced timber sports veteran, come out and enjoy the fun! Our Whistler Experience Guide will be your transportation to and from Forged Axe Throwing. $37 per person, closed toe shoes required.
