Skiing in Whistler Blackcomb Today: Live Report
As you prepare for a Whistler skiing getaway, snow conditions are often top of mind. To help you prepare for your vacation we created this guide to keep you as tuned in as a Whistler local on the real-time snow conditions here in Whistler.
Seeing (& Skiing) is Believing
Whistler is fortunate to have the benefit of vast terrain at elevation. Because it can be hard to see what is really happening up top on the slopes, we are bringing our boots on the snow, capturing weekly mountain conditions. See what you have been missing below.
Whistler Blackcomb Snow Report and Conditions
Base Depth: 237 cm
7 Day Snowfall: 18 cm
Current Season: 667 cm
It has been a consistent week of accumulation at Whistler Blackcomb, with 17 cm of fresh snow falling in the last 48 hours. This brings our weekly total to 32 cm and maintains a healthy, deep alpine base of 237 cm. Today, the mountain is enjoying a brief period of clearing as a weak ridge moves through, offering a mix of sun and cloud with light alpine winds.
Alpine temperatures are currently holding steady between -5°C and -8°C, providing excellent snow preservation across both Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. Looking ahead, we are tracking a shift in the weather pattern as we move into the weekend. A more active Pacific system is forecast to arrive Saturday, bringing 10–15 cm of new snow by Sunday morning.
Early next week, a cold front will sweep through, dropping temperatures significantly to -12°C in the alpine. This “deep freeze” will ensure that any new accumulation remains light and dry, offering classic March powder conditions for those hitting the slopes on Monday and Tuesday.

High-Alpine & Softened Runs: Thursday and Friday are serving up a mix of sun and clouds with high temperatures near -9°C. Expect the groomed runs—like those in 7th Heaven or Peak Chair—to offer that perfect, responsive surface for carving. It’s an ideal window to enjoy the high-alpine vistas before the next system arrives.
- The Mid-Week Deep Freeze: Looking ahead to next Monday and Tuesday, temperatures are set to drop significantly, with daytime highs around -9°C. This cold gap will preserve the new snow beautifully, keeping the powder light and dry across the mid-mountain glades.
-
Safety First: March is a dynamic month in the Coast Mountains. Please remain strictly within marked ski area boundaries, obey all closure signage, and always ski with a partner.
