January 6, 2020

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every month that begins at 12:00 am on day First of the month, repeating until January 20, 2020

Art lovers rejoice! In partnership with the  Audain Art Museum, Fairmont Chateau Whistler is delighted to offer a special package to explore the Emily Carr: Fresh Seeing – French Modernism and the West Coast exhibit!

The exhibit investigates Carr’s momentous journey to France (1910-1911) that broke the bonds of her conservative art training, focusing on the dramatic changes in her approach to painting over the course of three critical years: 1910 to 1912. Drawn from national and international public, private and corporate collections, this exhibition provides a rare opportunity to view over 50 of Carr’s paintings, watercolours, and drawings, as well as a selection of works by Carr’s instructors whose work directly influenced her artistic development.

PACKAGE INCLUDES:

  • 15% savings on luxury accommodation at Fairmont Chateau Whistler
  • Daily breakfast (choice of The WildflowerIn-Room Dining or Portobello)
  • Welcome amenity including Emily Carr: Fresh Seeing – French Modernism and the West Coast book
