Cornucopia Winemaker’s Dinners

Don’t miss Whistler’s 23rd annual Festival of Food and Drink, Cornucopia. From hands-on seminars and fascinating Winemakers’ dinners, to gala tasting events and sizzling after-parties, this is the BC epicurean event and wine festival not to be missed.

Fairmont Chateau Whistler will be hosting a variety of Winemaker’s Dinners throughout Cornucopia to showcase BC’s local wine selection.

November 11: Vanessa Wine Dinner |
Carved from stone, fueled by the sun, a vineyard like no other. Vanessa has dedicated their 220-acre farm to exclusively producing only red wine grapes due to the Similkameen Valley’s favourable climate and the site’s ideal growing conditions. Chef Derek Bendig and The Grill Room are excited to host you for an evening of top-notch culinary creations and flattering wine from Vanessa.

November 12: Indigenous World Wine Dinner |
Indigenous World Winery merges modern culture with Indigenous history. The Indigenous first peoples of the Okanagan and Similkameen Valleys located in British Columbia are the Okanagan Syilx people. They have lived on and protected these lands for thousands of years. Robert Louie and his wife Bernice are descendants of the Syilx people and are connected to the land and its rich history. When you taste an Indigenous World wine, you are tasting the fruit from the land that has supported the Syilx people for over 10,000 years.

November 13: Blasted Church Winemaker’s Dinner |
An evening of storytelling through divine wine and heavenly food with one of British Columbia’s best-loved and celebrated wineries, Blasted Church. This winery dinner will be an intimate congregation in the private dining room of Fairmont Chateau Whistler’s Grill Room where divine wine pairings will surprise your taste buds. Winemaker, Evan Saunders, along with Vineyard Manager, John Bayley, will guide you through the evening with their most revered wines and tales from their sacred vineyard land.

November 14: Siren’s Call Winemaker’s Dinner |
The Siren’s Call selection of wines is made in a new-world, fruit-driven style. With a refined view of the Okanagan Valley, winemaker Mark Simpson’s vision for BC Wine Studio was to create a special place for sharing wine best practices, encouraging creativity and producing high quality, distinctive hand-crafted wines. Join Mark and Chef Derek Bendig for an evening of food and wine.
