Adrenaline-Fueled Adventures

Whistler is a place to feel alive. From soaring over mountains to floating over powder these heart-thumping adventures are perfect for adventure seekers.

HELI-SKIING/SNOWBOARDING

There is nothing like the thrill of carving up the fresh powder in the high alpine with your fully guided group. For intermediate, advanced & expert riders only.

DOWNHILL SKIING/SNOWBOARDING LESSONS

Whistler Blackcomb offers a variety of ski and snowboard programs for adults and children. Both private & group lessons are available catering to all ages and ability levels. They are a great way to freshen up your ski/snowboard abilities! Reservations are required at least seven days in advance.

SNOWMOBILING

Take a 2 or 3-hour tour through some of Whistler’s most scenic backcountry; a great family activity for a day off from the slopes. Beginner, advanced and private tours are available.

BOBSLED AND SKELETON EXPERIENCE

That’s right! Zoom head first at 100km/h or as a passenger in a bobsled at 130km/h. For those seeking the chance of a lifetime, this is your opportunity to gain the perspective of this truly unique adventure.

BUNGEE JUMPING

Are you ready? A giant 160 ft leap of faith from the bungee bridge over the spectacular scenery of the Cheakamus River with Whistler Bungee Inc. Experience bungee jumping in the beautiful wilderness of the Whistler valley, nestled between old-growth forests and rugged basalt column cliffs. Tandem is an option!

ZIP LINE TOURS

Two companies offer this popular and thrilling adventure, with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain and valley floor. Whistler boasts some of the biggest, longest and fastest lines in North America!

HELICOPTER SIGHTSEEING

See the birds-eye view of Whistler Valley and the surrounding area from the comfort of a helicopter. A variety of tours are available ranging from 20 to 45 minutes.

GONDOLA SIGHTSEEING

ICE CAVES BY HELICOPTER

An interactive cultural journey through Whistler’s Aboriginal art, history, music and dance. Enjoy guided or self-guided tours through the museum, exhibits and galleries. Conveniently located just across the street from the hotel, a visit to the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre is easy and a perfect rainy day activity.

ART STUDIO

Create your very own souvenir. Your carving instructor will help you make a masterpiece of your very own. Classes are offered between NOON – 6:00 PM daily for adults and children (ages 3 and up).

SNOWSHOEING

They say “If you can walk, you can snowshoe.” Enjoy a walk in the woods or backcountry trails with the whole family on easy, moderate or challenging tours. You can rent snowshoes and explore Lost Lake, Join a tour with a local activity provider, or let us be your guide by joining a Whistler Experience Guide Snowshoe Tour. We will provide the snowshoes, transportation, and a friendly guide to show you the way.

VALLEA LUMINA

Explore Vallea Lumina, a family-friendly multimedia experience bringing Whistler’s old-growth forests to life! Follow the path through the forest on an enchanted night walk in pursuit of hidden wonders, telling a story that unfolds along the way. Located on Cougar mountain, a short drive north of Whistler Village.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING

Swap your downhill skis for some cross country skis, and join one of our Whistler Experience Guides, as they take you on a fun lap around Lost Lake. These cross country ski trails are perfect for beginners, and give stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Track-set Classic or Skate Ski trails wind at the Whistler Olympic Park and Lost Lake. Rentals and lessons are available at both.

TOBOGGANING

Located behind the hotel, there is a small slope that is suitable for kids of all ages to have some fun. We have toboggans available for loan from our Health Club staff, simply stop by and enjoy an afternoon of family fun.

TUBE PARK

If you like tobogganing, but hate walking back uphill then Snow Tubing is for you.  Located at Base Two on Blackcomb Mountain, the Bubly Tube Park offers great fun for the young and young at heart. No skill or equipment or reservations are required for this activity.

ICE SKATING

Tap into your inner Canadian and lace up for some gliding fun. Enjoy skating under the stars at Olympic Plaza. They have rentals onsite, music, and a toasty fire to warm up around.

ICE FISHING

Experienced guides take you to some of the best frozen lakes in the area. Fish for trout and pike minnows while surrounded by breathtaking views and winter landscapes. Huts are available for when the temperatures dip well below freezing.

Weather-Proof

Sometimes mother nature doesn’t always get the memo for endless bluebirds and pow days. If the weather is looking less than inviting, these weatherproof activities are always a winner.

AXE THROWING

It’s like darts – but way more Canadian. Learn to throw an axe in a safe and contained environment and then have a friendly competition with friends and family. Located in Function Junction, Whistler.

ESCAPE ROOM

Put your teamwork to the test. This challenging indoor adventure offers four themed escape rooms for you and your family to try escape from in under 45 minutes. It’s harder than you think!

MEADOW PARK SPORTS CENTRE

Located 10 minutes north on Highway 99, this indoor sports facility features an indoor swimming pool, toddler wading pool, and indoor ice-skating rink.

TENNIS/ PICKLEBALL

Get ready for the spring with some indoor practice. Indoor courts and lessons are available at the Whistler Racquet Club, located in Whistler Village.

DINING TOURS

Experience the best of Whistler restaurants in one night! Enjoy a guided walking tour and experience a fantastic multicourse, progressive lunch, dinner, or dessert. Each delicious course is provided by one of the different restaurants in Whistler.

ROCK CLIMBING (INDOOR)

Offering over 4,000 ft2 of indoor rock, including cracks, dihedrals, and overhangs, Whistler’s only indoor climbing centre is a great activity. No experience is necessary; guided and supervised climbing sessions are available. All ages are welcome.

CLIMB & DINE (KIDS)

Located at The Core in the Whistler Conference Centre. Children (ages 4-14) can enjoy either a 2 or 3-hour guided rock climbing session including a kid-style dinner.

SHOPPING
